Chlortetracycline is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacterium, and other pathogenic bacteria including chlamydia, mycoplasma, rickettsia. It is active in the inhibition and treatment of pullorum disease, typhoid, swine enteritis and bacterial diseases such as paratyphoid, cholera.
